Job Summary
Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurse providing direct patient care for critically ill pediatric patients with congenital heart disease and post-surgical needs. Responsible for organizing, implementing, modifying, evaluating, and documenting individualized, family-centered plans of care; maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment; supporting CHSU initiatives and process improvement; delivering high-quality, age-specific care across neonatal to young adult populations; aligning with the organization’s mission and values. Requires RN licensure in Texas (or compact) and a BSN within 24 months, with ACLS, BLS, PALS, and other life support certifications obtained within stated timeframes. CHSU experience and CCRN are preferred; minimum 1 year PICU/CHSU RN experience preferred. This is a full-time night shift position with a possible $10k sign-on bonus, at Medical City Dallas / HCA Healthcare network.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- BSN Required within 24 months of hire into RN position
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 6 months of start
- Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of start
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license
- Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU RN
- Congenital Heart Experience preferred
- 1 year PICU or CHSU RN experience preferred
