Job Summary
Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurse responsible for direct patient care of critically ill neonatal to young adult patients with congenital heart disease or post-surgical care; develops and documents individualized, family-centered plans of care; maintains a safe, therapeutic environment; participates in CHSU initiatives and process improvement; requires ACSL/BLS/PALS/PALS within specified timelines and Texas RN licensure or compact license; BSN preferred within 24 months of hire; CCRN preferred; minimum 1 year PICU/CHSU experience; 7P-7A night shift in a full-time role; provides high-quality, age-specific care across pediatric populations in a Magnet/Pathway to Excellence facility with a broad benefits package and opportunities for education and advancement.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- BSN Required within 24 months of hire into RN position
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 6 months of start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of start date
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license
- CCRN preferred
- Congenital Heart Experience and/or high-acuity PICU experience preferred
- Minimum of 1 year PICU or CHSU RN experience
