Job Summary
Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurse responsible for direct patient care of critically ill pediatric patients with congenital heart disease or post-surgical care in a 7P-7A night shift. Responsibilities include organizing and documenting individualized, family-centered plans of care, maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment, participating in process improvement initiatives, and delivering high-quality age-appropriate care across neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and young adult populations. Requires BSN within 24 months, ACLS/BLS/PALS/CHSU-related certifications within specified timeframes, and an active Texas (or compact) RN license; 1 year PICU/CHSU experience preferred and CCRN preferred. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- BSN Required within 24 months of hire into RN position
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license is required
- Minimum of 1 year PICU or CHSU RN experience
- CCRN preferred
