Job Summary
Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU RN needed to provide direct patient care for critically ill pediatric patients with congenital heart disease and post-surgical care. Responsibilities include organizing, implementing, modifying, evaluating, and documenting individualized, family-centered plans of care; maintaining safe, therapeutic environments; participating in CHSU initiatives and process improvement; delivering high-quality age-specific care from neonatal through young adult populations; and supporting organizational mission and values. Requires BSN within 24 months of hire, multiple ACLS/BLS/PALS/CHSU certifications within specified timeframes, Texas (or compact) RN license, and at least 1 year of PICU/CHSU experience. A sign-on bonus may be available. This is a full-time night-shift position at Medical City Dallas in Carrollton, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- BSN Required within 24 months of hire into RN position
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 6 months
- Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact
- Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU experience preferred
- Minimum of 1 year PICU or CHSU RN experience
Desired Qualifications
- BSN within 24 months of hire
- ACLS
- BCLS
- PALS
- CHSU experience or high-acuity PICU experience preferred
- CCRN preferred
- Current RN license in Texas or compact license
- Minimum 1 year PICU or CHSU RN experience
