Job Summary
Provide direct patient care for pediatric cardiovascular ICU patients, focusing on congenital heart disease and surgery. Develop, implement, modify, evaluate, and document individualized, family-centered care plans; maintain a safe, therapeutic environment; participate in CHSU initiatives and process improvement; deliver high-quality age-specific care from neonatal through young adult; support organizational mission and values. Position may offer a $10k sign-on bonus. Requires BSN within 24 months of hire, ACLS/BLS/PALS/CHEST certifications within specified timeframes, and Texas RN license (or compact). Minimum 1 year PICU/CHSU RN experience preferred; CCRN preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- BSN Required within 24 months of hire into RN position
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license is required
- Minimum of 1 year PICU or CHSU RN experience
