Job Summary
Pediatric cardiothoracic surgeon needed for locum tenens coverage in Baton Rouge, LA. Provide 24/7 call relief for a CVOR service with emergent cardiac procedures, including ECMO cannulation in the CICU or NICU for VA ECMO, working with a dedicated CVOR team (scrub, RN, FA). Case load ~20 per month; on-site coverage with a dedicated OR for pediatric cardiac surgery; assignment type is locum with long weekend once per month beginning August 2026.
Required Qualifications
- MD degree
- Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgeon with experience in pediatric cardiac surgery
- Board certification negotiable
- Locum tenens coverage experience preferred
