Job Summary
Pediatric Cardiologist sought to join Phoenix Children’s Division of Cardiology as part of the Advanced Heart Failure - Cardiac Transplant Team; faculty appointment at Instructor/Assistant/Associate Professor level with strong clinical, teaching, and research expectations. Responsibilities include providing direct inpatient and outpatient patient care including subspecialty consultations and follow-up, performing diagnostic/therapeutic procedures, and contributing to compassionate, family-centered care. The role includes teaching rounds and supervision of trainees and allied health professionals, participation in scholarly activities and division research, and supporting programmatic growth and education initiatives across affiliated institutions. Collaborative, interdisciplinary care with transplant cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, NP/PA teams, nutrition, pharmacy, social work, and psychology is emphasized. Candidates should demonstrate a rigorous academic focus with potential clinical/translational research opportunities and be prepared to participate in program development, education, and outreach across multiple campuses.
Required Qualifications
- MD or equivalent degree
- Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics
- eligible for medical licensure in the State of Arizona
- completed an ACGME-accredited 3-year fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology
- additional year of advanced subspecialty training in pediatric advanced heart failure including management of cardiac transplant patients and mechanical circulatory support
