Pediatric Cardiologist - Heart Transplant and Advanced Heart Failure

Job Summary
Provide direct patient care for pediatric heart transplant and advanced heart failure patients across inpatient and outpatient settings, including subspecialty consultations, diagnostic procedures, and urgent/emergent management. Supervise trainees and allied health professionals through teaching rounds, lectures, and conference participation while supporting the division's research initiatives and programmatic growth. Represent the institution in medical and business communities as requested by the Division Chief and adhere to contemporary evidence-based medicine standards. Perform after-hours or night call responsibilities as needed to support the team's 24/7 coverage.
Required Qualifications
- M.D. or equivalent degree
- Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics
- Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Arizona
- Completed an ACGME accredited 3-year fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology
- Additional year of advanced subspecialty training in pediatric advanced heart failure
- Experience in management of cardiac transplant patients
- Experience with mechanical circulatory support
- Ability to communicate by telephone, computer or other communication devices
- Ability to perform after hours or night call responsibilities as needed
- Ability to work regularly scheduled work hours
