Job Summary
Manage patient care services for inpatient and outpatient settings, including subspecialty consultations, follow-up, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and urgent/emergent care. Provide direct supervision of trainees and allied health professionals while conducting teaching rounds, lectures, and conferences to support the medical education programs. Advance divisional research initiatives and programmatic growth through clinical and translational efforts. Represent the organization in the medical and business communities as a liaison to the professional community and general public. Perform after-hours or night call responsibilities as needed to support the Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant Team.
Required Qualifications
- M.D. or equivalent degree
- Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics
- Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Arizona
- Completed an ACGME accredited 3-year fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology
- Additional year of advanced subspecialty training in pediatric advanced heart failure
- Experience in management of cardiac transplant patients
- Experience with mechanical circulatory support
- Ability to communicate by telephone, computer or other communication devices
- Ability to perform after hours or night call responsibilities as needed
- Ability to work regularly scheduled work hours
