Job Summary
Pediatric Cardiologist faculty sought to join the Advanced Heart Failure - Cardiac Transplant Team as a full-time instructor/assistant/associate professor. The role involves direct inpatient and outpatient patient care, subspecialty consultations, and management of pediatric and adult devices with a collaborative, interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include clinical care, teaching rounds and conferences for fellows, residents, medical students, and nurses; supervision of trainees and allied health professionals; participation in research initiatives and programmatic growth; and representation of Phoenix Children‘s Center for Heart Care in professional and public settings. Candidates should have MD or equivalent, board certification/eligibility in Pediatric Cardiology, Arizona medical licensure eligibility, and completed an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Cardiology fellowship with advanced heart failure/subspecialty training and experience in transplant patient management and mechanical circulatory support. Preference for an academic focus in clinical or translational research with opportunities for collaboration across affiliated medical schools and research institutes.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO or equivalent
- Board certification or board-eligible in Pediatric Cardiology (American Board of Pediatrics)
- Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Arizona
- Completion of ACGME-accredited 3-year fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology
- Additional year of subspecialty training in pediatric advanced heart failure including management of cardiac transplant patients and mechanical circulatory support
