Pediatric Cardiologist - Heart Transplant and Advanced Heart Failure

Job Summary
Provide direct patient care services for inpatient and outpatient heart transplant and advanced heart failure patients, including subspecialty consultations, diagnostic procedures, and urgent/emergent management. Supervise trainees and allied health professionals through teaching rounds, lectures, and conference participation while supporting the division's medical education and research initiatives. Represent the program in the medical community and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve annual physician goals and maintain high-quality, evidence-based care standards.
Required Qualifications
- M.D. or equivalent degree
- Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics
- Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Arizona
- Completed an ACGME accredited 3-year fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology
- Additional year of advanced subspecialty training in pediatric advanced heart failure
- Experience including management of cardiac transplant patients
- Experience including mechanical circulatory support
- Ability to communicate by telephone, computer or other communication devices
- Ability to perform after hours or night call responsibilities as needed
- Ability to work regularly scheduled work hours

- Rigorous academic focus preferably in clinical and/or translational research
