Job Summary
Provide direct patient care services for heart transplant and advanced heart failure patients on an inpatient and outpatient basis, including subspecialty consultations, follow-up, and urgent/emergent procedures. Supervise trainees and allied health professionals through teaching rounds, lectures, and conference participation while supporting the division's medical education and research initiatives. Represent the program in the medical and business communities and liaise with the professional community as requested by the Division Chief.
Required Qualifications
- M.D. or equivalent degree
- Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics
- Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Arizona
- Completed an ACGME accredited 3-year fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology
- Additional year of advanced subspecialty training in pediatric advanced heart failure
- Experience in management of cardiac transplant patients
- Experience with mechanical circulatory support
- Ability to communicate by telephone, computer or other communication devices
- Ability to perform after hours or night call responsibilities as needed
- Ability to work regularly scheduled work hours

- Rigorous academic focus preferably in clinical and/or translational research
