Pediatric Cardiologist - Heart Transplant and Advanced Heart Failure

Job Summary
Provide direct patient care services on an inpatient and outpatient basis, including subspecialty consultations, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and urgent/emergent care. Supervise trainees and allied health professionals through teaching rounds, lectures, and conference participation while supporting the division's medical education programs. Lead the Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant Team, managing patients with mechanical circulatory support and contributing to research initiatives at tGen and Arizona State University. Represent Phoenix Children's in the medical community and fulfill after-hours call responsibilities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- M.D. or equivalent degree
- Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics
- Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Arizona
- Completed an ACGME accredited 3-year fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology
- Additional year of advanced subspecialty training in pediatric advanced heart failure
- Experience in management of cardiac transplant patients
- Experience with mechanical circulatory support
- Ability to communicate by telephone, computer or other communication devices
- Ability to perform after hours or night call responsibilities as needed
- Ability to work regularly scheduled work hours
