Pediatric Cardiologist - Heart Transplant and Advanced Heart Failure

Job Summary

Provide direct patient care for heart transplant and advanced heart failure patients on inpatient and outpatient bases, including subspecialty consultations, diagnostics, and therapeutic procedures. Conduct teaching rounds, lectures, and conferences for trainees while supervising allied health professionals. Support the division's research initiatives, programmatic growth, and annual physician goals. Represent the institution in medical and business communities as a liaison to the professional public. Perform after-hours or night call responsibilities as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • M.D. or equivalent degree
  • Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics
  • Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Arizona
  • Completed an ACGME accredited 3-year fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology
  • Additional year of advanced subspecialty training in pediatric advanced heart failure
  • Experience including management of cardiac transplant patients
  • Experience including mechanical circulatory support
  • Ability to communicate by telephone, computer or other communication devices
  • Ability to perform after hours or night call responsibilities as needed
  • Ability to work regularly scheduled work hours

Desired Qualifications

  • Rigorous academic focus preferably in clinical and/or translational research
