Job Summary
Provide direct patient care services on an inpatient and outpatient basis, including subspecialty consultations, follow-up, and diagnostic/therapeutic procedures for urgent/emergent needs. Supervise trainees and allied health professionals during clinical delivery, conduct teaching rounds, lectures, and conferences, and participate in postgraduate continuing education. Lead research initiatives, support programmatic growth, and represent the division in medical and business communities. Perform after-hours or night call responsibilities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- M.D. or equivalent degree
- Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics
- Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Arizona
- Completed an ACGME accredited 3-year fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology
- Additional year of advanced subspecialty training in pediatric advanced heart failure
- Experience in management of cardiac transplant patients
- Experience with mechanical circulatory support
- Ability to communicate by telephone, computer or other communication devices
- Ability to perform after hours or night call responsibilities as needed
- Ability to work regularly scheduled work hours
