Job Summary
Provide direct patient care services on inpatient and outpatient bases, including subspecialty consultations, follow-ups, and diagnostic or therapeutic procedures for urgent or emergent cases. Deliver evidence-based medicine while striving for best-in-class patient and family-centered outcomes. Support medical education by supervising trainees, conducting teaching rounds, lectures, and conferences, and facilitating postgraduate continuing education activities. Contribute to divisional research initiatives, programmatic growth, and annual physician goals. Represent the organization in the medical and business communities as requested by the Division Chief. Perform after-hours or night call responsibilities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- M.D. or equivalent degree
- Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics
- Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Arizona
- Completed an ACGME accredited 3-year fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology
- Additional year of advanced subspecialty training in pediatric advanced heart failure
- Experience including management of cardiac transplant patients
- Experience including mechanical circulatory support
- Ability to communicate by telephone, computer or other communication devices
- Ability to perform after hours or night call responsibilities as needed
- Ability to work regularly scheduled work hours

- Rigorous academic focus preferably in clinical and/or translational research
