Job Summary
Fellowship-trained Pediatric Anesthesiologists sought to join Albany Medical College’s Department of Anesthesiology. Provide perioperative anesthesia care for infants, children, and adolescents in inpatient and outpatient settings, including select neonatal and complex congenital cases, with opportunities to care for patients outside the main operating room (e.g., MRI, interventional radiology, cardiac catheterization). Responsibilities include delivering high-quality clinical care, teaching residents and medical students, pursuing or initiating clinical research, collaborating with surgeons and perioperative teams, and mentoring trainees and junior faculty. Competitive base salary ($391,000–$428,000, commensurate with rank) with pediatric pager call compensation (~$25,000) plus additional pay, a generous sign-on bonus ($45,000), relocation ($7,500), and overtime opportunities. Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree (or equivalent)
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency
- Fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesiology (required)
- Eligible for New York State medical licensure
- Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, or foreign equivalent recognized by the ABA
