Job Summary
Sign out pediatric surgical pathology cases and autopsies as a board-certified or board-eligible anatomic pathologist. Prioritize applicants with demonstrated experience or training in pediatric pathology, GI, renal, or transplant subspecialties. Contribute to educational and scholarly activities within the Department of Pathology at UMKC and KUMC, including accredited fellowship training programs. Engage in collaborative research with clinical sections and the genome center performing exome and whole genome sequencing. Maintain active, unrestricted Missouri and Kansas medical licenses.
Required Qualifications
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or D.O.
- Board-certified or board-eligible Pathologist
- Diplomate of the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic Pathology/Clinical Pathology or AP and a pathology subspecialty
- Active, unrestricted Missouri and Kansas medical licenses
- Academic appointment at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor (non-tenure-track) in the Department of Pathology at The University of Missouri Kansas City
- Seasonal influenza vaccine
- Willingness to be vaccinated if found non-immune to measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) and chicken pox (varicella)
- Evidence of tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccination since 2005

Desired Qualifications
- Board-certified or Board-eligible in Pediatric Pathology
- Demonstrated experience or training in Pediatric Pathology without board certification

- Contribution to educational and scholarly activities in the Department of Pathology based at Children's Mercy Hospital
