Job Summary
Peddle Truck Driver responsible for using trucks to transport company goods between local facilities, warehouses, and customers. Responsibilities include performing pre- and post-trip inspections, adhering to safety protocols, coordinating with the Dispatcher for work assignments, operating communications equipment, noting maintenance needs and documenting discrepancies (overage/shortage/damage), completing required reports, and maintaining dependable, punctual attendance. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, physical movements such as reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, walking, climbing, and squatting, and frequent climbing in/out of trucks with three points of contact. A valid Georgia CDL and a minimum of 2 years of driving history are required, with the ability to communicate effectively with the public, law enforcement, and DOT officials. Overtime, weekend, and holiday work are required as needed.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of verifiable truck driving history/experience
- Valid Georgia Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Ability to communicate with the general public, to respond to law enforcement and DOT officials
- Available for overtime, weekend, and holiday work when needed
- Driving record must withstand a motor vehicle report check
