Job Summary
Sales Associate for Ground Market at the Pearl District Farmers Market in Portland. Seasonal, part-time Sundays (June 7 – September 27) with a consistent weekly schedule. Responsibilities include driving the market truck between the farmstand in Yamhill and the Pearl District market, setting up and breaking down booth displays, staffing the booth and processing sales, greeting customers, maintaining product knowledge, and ensuring booth appearance throughout market hours. Requires outdoor work, lifting up to 50 pounds, and strong communication while engaging customers; pay is $21–$23 per hour depending on experience; hours typically 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Public-facing, customer-service oriented role with opportunities to work independently and represent Ground Market’s products.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in retail sales, farmers markets, hospitality, or similar
- Experience using Point of Sale systems, preferably Square
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must be available to work Sundays throughout the season
- Experience in customer-facing environments preferred
