Job Summary
PE Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year in Frisco, TX. Responsible for developing and delivering the physical education curriculum, creating and implementing lesson plans, assessing student progress, and supporting the health and development of students. Collaborates with staff to modify curricula for inclusivity, manages classroom behavior, oversees instructional aides/volunteers, and may sponsor extracurricular activities. Requires a Bachelor's degree, a valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements for the assigned subject/level, AED certification, ESL Supplemental Certificate for relevant grades, and one year of student teaching or internship. Strong instructional planning, communication, and organizational skills, plus ability to integrate technology and maintain professional relationships with students, families, and staff. Exemption/Professional status.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- AED certificate for Physical Education teachers
- ESL Supplemental Certificate for K-4 or 5-12 ELAR positions
- One year student teaching or approved internship
