Job Summary
Operate roll-to-roll coating and digital inking machines, adjusting speed, tension, and roll gaps to meet product specifications. Load and unload raw materials and finished goods using dollies, hand trucks, and mechanical power tools for banding and tagging. Visually inspect deck boards pre- and post-production for defects like scratches or unevenness, utilizing measurement tools to confirm quality standards. Mix coating formulations for smooth application, perform routine equipment cleaning, and participate in Total Productive Maintenance activities. Load conveyors with uncoated boards and unload coated products, while reading production work orders to ensure proper label affixation. Notify supervisors immediately of quality issues, complete end-of-shift reporting on scrap, and maintain a clean work area through 6S protocols. Work 12-hour shifts including overtime, holidays, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills
- Previous machinery operator experience in a continuous production environment
- Strong understanding of conveyance, coating, curing and printing equipment
- Meticulous focus on maintaining quality uniformity and product quality
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other team members
- Ability to read, interpret technical documents, work instructions, product specifications
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work 12 hour shifts
- Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as scheduled
