Job Summary
Portland International Airport Part-time Security Officer. Responsibilities include standing post, conducting inspections, verifying badges and credentials, denying access to prohibited items, responding to security directives, and providing courteous assistance to passengers, employees, and visitors. Requires adherence to uniform and fitness standards, knowledge of security orders, post orders, and standard operating procedures, and the ability to communicate effectively to deter unauthorized access. Must hold Oregon DPSST unarmed security certification, be at least 21, and maintain a professional appearance. Local address and drug-free workplace compliance required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Unarmed Private Security certification from the Oregon DPSST
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- U.S. citizen, U.S. National or lawful permanent resident
