Job Summary
Bechtel is hiring a Piping SP3D Designer for a national contract in Gurugram. Responsibilities include preparing layouts and detailed construction drawings using 2D CAD (AutoCAD) and MicroStation, developing 3D SP3D models, equipment and system design, concept sketches and layouts, reviewing drawings from others or suppliers, preparing engineering studies and material quantity estimates, and ensuring designs comply with standards for safe, economical plant operation. The role involves coordinating with other disciplines, contributing to project progress, and supporting a collaborative work environment focused on openness, trust, and innovation. Proficiency with 3D modelling tools (SP3D) and knowledge of design practices, codes, and materials is required; a Diploma in Mechanical engineering or related discipline (or equivalent CAD-focused training) with extensive design and drafting experience is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Specialized courses in drafting, design and engineering practices, and CAD, OR a recognized Diploma in Mechanical engineering or scientific discipline, AND extensive experience in design and drafting.
- Minimum 5 Years of experience as Piping Layout Designer
