Job Summary
Lead MRDA process engineering by reviewing experimental flows to identify defect anomalies and implementing yield improvements through SWR design and data analysis. Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Suppliers to optimize inline detection, manage RDA cycle times, and execute corrective actions for process excursions using AI-powered tools. Develop automated reporting systems via image classification models, document Best Known Methods globally, and maintain KPI metrics to drive continuous process optimization and reduce scrap.
Required Qualifications
- Experience reviewing and analyzing experimental process flows to identify defect anomalies
- Ability to quarantine out-of-control process tools
- Capability to raise awareness of process anomalies by recognizing and communicating issues promptly
- Experience leveraging inline process signals to drive process improvements using real-time data
- Experience exploring new inspection tools and strategies for earlier problem detection and source identification
- Experience innovating with existing tools by developing techniques to identify relevant process issues
- Experience managing image classification models to enable automated reporting systems
- Experience collaborating with the global network to develop best-known methods and maintain alignment between sites
- Ability to collaborate with Process Integration, Yield Enhancement, Production, Process areas, and Quality Engineering
- Ability to design, set up, and analyze SWRs to evaluate and implement process changes for yield improvements
- Ability to identify and advocate for key conversions that will improve yields through data analysis
- Ability to develop and distribute periodic reports tracking the performance metrics of specific defects
- Ability to regularly review defect trends, set up containment, defect, and performance qualification procedures and frequency of sampling
- Ability to take appropriate actions on defect containment and qualification
- Experience qualifying conversions and new processes via Global Conversion Progress (GCP) business process
- Ability to improve the process cost of ownership, throughput, and performance through tool expansion/second reticle/chemical supplier releases
- Ability to reduce scrap and prevent/mitigate excursions by characterizing the process response to parameters through experiment or test run summaries
- Experience using AI to help the yield analyze
- Ability to work with Suppliers to improve inline detection and/or determine process relevancy
- Ability to assist in overall RDA cycle time management and capacity by optimizing sampling or inspection steps accordingly
- Ability to update line health daily according to rules
- Ability to partner with Production and Shift Engineering to implement corrective actions for excursions through reaction mechanisms and other line control methods
- Ability to document and share improvement activities with sister fabs in the network
- Ability to work on long-term projects with the global team to improve and align BKMs (Best Known Methods) in the Fab
- Ability to encourage the writing of technical papers
- Ability to maintain KPI/Yield system or similar metric system
- Ability to prioritize daily tasks/meetings for efficient execution
- Ability to cover other process loops when always needed
- Ability to adhere to Fab discipline
- Ability to take on leader responsibility when required
