Job Summary
The PDC Operation & Logistics Specialist coordinates the daily flow of construction equipment parts through the distribution center to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery to dealers, service centers, and customers. Responsibilities include managing inbound/outbound freight, communicating with carriers and internal teams to resolve delivery issues, tracking shipments, supporting daily warehouse workflows (order picking, packing, staging, loading), maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counts and reconciliations, optimizing layout and equipment utilization, analyzing operational data to identify bottlenecks, preparing shipping and distribution reports, implementing SOPs for safety and consistency, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and providing escalation support to dealers and internal teams. Occasional travel to vendor sites, corporate offices, or dealer locations may be required; standard work schedule with potential overtime during peak periods. Education and experience requirements include a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 2–4 years in logistics or related fields; proficiency with ERP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) and forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2–4 years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, supply chain, or parts distribution (construction equipment or industrial machinery preferred)
- Knowledge of logistics processes, inventory management, and warehouse operations
- Proficiency with ERP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to rapidly changing operational needs
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one (if applicable)
