Job Summary
This on-call position requires providing milieu and mental health rehabilitation and case management services, developing and implementing individual service and treatment plans, and facilitating psychiatric consultations. Position requires high school diploma or equivalent and five years of related experience, or an Associate's degree plus three years, or a Bachelor's degree plus two years of experience in a human service setting. Two years of experience in a residential mental health setting is essential. Must exhibit exceptional customer service, possess strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks. CPR/First Aid certification required. Competitive hourly pay with additional shift differentials.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent education plus five years’ related experience; OR Associate’s degree plus three years’ related experience; OR Bachelor’s degree plus two years’ related experience; OR Master’s degree in a related field plus one year’s related experience
- Experience working in a human service setting
- Two years previous experience in a residential mental health setting for positions in Crisis Residential Programs
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a small team environment
- Engage and communicate effectively with others in both verbal and written English
- Monitor and support developmental growth and the recovery process
- Manage multiple tasks and demands
- Employ tact and diplomacy, exercise good judgment, and act calmly in emergency situations
- Work from a strengths-based, harm-reduction, social rehabilitation model
- Exhibit exemplary customer service, compassion, and care in the execution of all duties and interactions
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a mental health setting or with emotionally disturbed individuals
- Eligibility for MHRS certificate
- Appropriate volunteer and internship experience and personal experience in the mental health system
- Demonstrated ability to use second language skills for interpretation and translation verbally and in written form
- Knowledge of Community resources, including those required to meet the non-mental health needs of the target population
- Knowledge of Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) and Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP)
- Proven typing speed of 30 net wpm
- Familiarity with UNIX-based databases
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to meet and receive a criminal records clearance, as required by Title XXII, other licensing regulations and Momentum practices
- A valid California Driver License, with access to a reliable vehicle or for driving a company vehicle, current proof of auto liability insurance, and a clean DMV record
