Job Summary
PD REGISTERED NURSE position focused on overnight/night shift coverage in a Crisis Stabilization Unit. Responsibilities include evaluating and treating clients, administering first aid and CPR, coordinating medical care, supervising medication support systems, providing staff and client education, participating in crisis intervention, maintaining clinical records, managing resources, ensuring facilities are clean, transporting clients, and performing additional duties. Requires RN licensure in CA, completion of an accredited nursing program, and two+ years of human service experience (substitutions possible with advanced degrees); eligible for 5150 certification within six months; strong communication, driving eligibility, and ability to work in a mentally health/substance use population.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited nursing program
- Current and valid registration with the State of California as a Registered Nurse
- First Aid Certification or completion within 30 days of hire if assigned to residential facilities
- Knowledge of medications and side effects for medications used in treatment of mental illness
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to engage and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to write 5150 holds or obtain certification within six months of hire
- A valid California Driver License with access to vehicle and insurance
- Physical requirements including lifting up to 40 lbs and manual dexterity
