Job Summary
The Adjunct Instructor for the Nursing Assistant Certificate Course at Nebraska Methodist College promotes a positive learning environment and encourages maximum student participation. Key responsibilities include utilizing curriculum resources, maintaining equipment, recording attendance and evaluation materials, and participating in team meetings. The position requires excellent communication skills, customer service abilities, and a professional image. Instructors must have an ASN or RN diploma, relevant nursing experience, and a valid Nebraska RN license. Teaching evening classes is a primary aspect of the role.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ASN) or RN diploma required
- 1 or more years experience in nursing required
- Current valid Nebraska Registered Nurse (RN) License or valid compact multistate license to work in Nebraska or a temporary permit while awaiting licensure required
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred at time of hire, required within 3 months of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred
- 1 or more years teaching experience preferred
