PCU/Telemetry/Step-Down Registered Nurse

Job Summary
Inpatient RN for PCU/Step-Down/Telemetry on the Night Shift (7P-7A). Plan, prioritize, and provide proficient, age-specific and specialty-appropriate nursing care by applying advanced clinical nursing knowledge; follow physician orders; maintain patient privacy and confidentiality; adhere to infection control and aseptic techniques; collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing; manage admissions, discharges, and transfers; assemble equipment for procedures; comply with policies and nursing practice standards; participate in quality assessment activities and staff meetings; perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse without sanctions, required
- 2+ years full-time RN experience in Telemetry/ICU, or 2+ years combination experience in related healthcare positions, required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, required; PALS strongly preferred (ENPC certification from ENA may be substituted for PALS certification)
- Pennsylvania RN‘s : Act 33 (Child Abuse History Clearance), Act 73 (FBI Fingerprint Criminal History Clearance) completed within the last 5 years, or must be obtained prior to start date.
