PCT Stepdown daylight

Assists with the provision of patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. Performs duties consistent with nursing standards, hospital policies, and state regulations, including assisting with admissions, transfers, discharges, and transporting patients; ensuring patient safety and comfort; taking and recording vital signs; collecting and preparing specimens; administering care such as baths, hygiene, charting, and basic treatments (e.g., pre/post-operative care, catheter care, EKGs, and traction set-up); distributing supplies and maintaining unit cleanliness; communicating effectively with patients, families, and hospital staff; adhering to clean/sterile techniques and reporting patient information to nursing staff; participating in staff meetings and contributing to care plans while supporting the hospital’s policies on safety and quality of care.
