Job Summary
Provide patient care support as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) and Monitor Tech. Assist with movement, mobility, transfers, and placement of patients; support personal care and activities of daily living (hygiene, toileting, feeding, comfort measures); obtain and record vital signs, intake/output, weights, and point-of-care blood glucose. Perform 12-lead EKGs, assist with specimen collection/processing, and monitor telemetry; recognize rhythm changes and notify nurses per escalation protocols. Document care and maintain room/Equipment; manage telemetry leads and alarms; store rhythm strips per unit protocol. Role requires organization, multitasking, and strong communication; proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Education: High school diploma/GED or 3 years’ experience; BLS within 3 months of hire. English proficiency required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED required, or a minimum of three (3) years’ experience
- BLS provider obtained within 3 months (90 days) of hire date
- Must be able to speak, read, write and follow instructions in English
- Ability to organize and establish day-to-day priorities; multitask; critical thinking; customer service; teamwork; adaptability
