Job Summary
CLASSIC coaching role for Pendleton County: Assist the head coach in planning and carrying out the volleyball program, instruct athletes in fundamentals, strategy, and conditioning, conduct learning experiences with small groups, guide participants toward team unity, supervise athletes during travel, and assist with equipment purchases to support health and welfare. Requires the ability to arrive early for practices, plan in-season and out-of-season conditioning, and maintain communication with athletes, staff, and administration; maintains discretion and handles duties as assigned by the principal, athletic director, or head coach. Must meet education/experience expectations and pass required certifications; position supports part-time coaching duties at the high school level.
Required Qualifications
- College degree is desired; minimum of 64 semester hours from an accredited college or university
- One year of experience coaching in a school athletic program
- Successful completion of a criminal records check
- AIDS awareness training
- Current certification in first aid and CPR
