Job Summary
PCB Layout Hardware Design Engineer responsible for designing and testing hardware and integrated circuits, documenting and developing firmware for DSPs/ASIC/FPGA devices, reverse engineering existing hardware/firmware, and guiding design-flow in P&R environments. Will coordinate with engineering teams to ensure manufacturability, cost efficiency, and reliability; develop and maintain design-flow documentation; work with tool/library vendors to resolve design challenges; provide technical leadership to engineers and assist physical designers with P&R tasks. Security clearance TS/SCI w/ Polygraph required; salary range $220k-$280k depending on experience; location Annapolis Junction, MD; in-person role.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (or equivalent)
- 7-12+ years experience in integrated circuit or microelectronic component design or reverse engineering
- Experience with PCB layout
- Experience with schematic capture to support CDES
- Experience with high density interconnect (HDI) design, fabrication and schematic capture
- Ability to jump in with near-term deadlines and complete the layout for initial production
- Bachelor’s degree requirement can be waived with 5 years additional experience
