Job Summary
Design and develop printed circuit boards for Supermicro products by placing, laying out, and setting up constraint rules. Research, analyze, and recommend new PCB materials while reviewing artwork, cleaning DRC, and generating Gerber out board files. Manage Cadence CAD tools and conduct external layout house evaluations. This role supports the Hardware Design Engineering Department in building component and PCB via libraries to increase market share in datacenter connectivity. Experience with high-speed signals, high-current power, and 16+ layer designs is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years PCB layout experience
- Deeply familiar with Cadence CAD tools: PCB editor, ORCAD
- Wide knowledge of PCB manufactures, PCB layout, Materials, Signals Integrity and simulation software
- Experienced in high speed signals, high current power and 16+ layers designs
- Excellent organizational skills
- Self-motivated, team player with ability to work in fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer Engineering degree and Drafting courses in Engineering and Mechanical
