Job Summary

Own and manage the entire PCB layout design lifecycle for complex multi-layer boards across active product lines, ensuring impeccable design standards through rigorous internal and external reviews. Take full ownership of the electronics component library in InvenTree, maintaining high-quality metadata, symbols, and footprints while spearheading the migration to a new industry-standard ECAD tool. Implement corporate EDRC design guidelines for routing, stack-ups, and constraints, and partner with mechanical engineers and EMS partners to optimize Design for Manufacturing and Assembly. This role bridges schematic concepts and robust, manufacturable hardware for autonomous mobile robots operating in extreme industrial environments, directly impacting performance and reliability.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related technical field
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in electronics design and layout for industrial applications
  • Expert-level proficiency in at least one industry-standard ECAD software tool (e.g., Altium, KiCad, Cadence)
  • Proven track record of successfully designing complex multi-layer PCBs with strict functional safety and EMI/EMC compliance requirements
  • Deep technical knowledge of signal integrity, high-speed routing, controlled impedance, length matching, and return path optimization
  • Extensive experience navigating DFM/DFA constraints and collaborating directly with EMS partners for hardware productization
  • Dedicated mindset toward component creation, database cleanliness, and rigorous library management
  • Proactive, highly accountable professional who takes clear technical decisions and thrives in a fast-paced environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with rigid-flex PCB designs or layout techniques for wireless technologies
  • Background or strong interest in Explosion-proof (Ex-protection) electronics design for hazardous environments
  • Past participation in a company-wide ECAD tool or library migration project
  • Background in electronics for aerospace, military, or highly ruggedized industrial equipment
