Job Summary
Layout printed circuit boards and associated drawings and schematics using Altium, ensuring designs conform to manufacturing schedules and industry standards. Investigate design factors including ease of manufacturing, cost, and contractual specifications to maintain accuracy and functional clarity. Interact with product engineering, manufacturing, procurement, external suppliers, and customers to resolve design and manufacturing issues, while generating engineering change notices to update documentation. Support chip-and-wire substrate layout for active RF products as needed. This role supports mission-critical aerospace and defense applications for orbital and terrestrial systems.
Required Qualifications
- Level II – minimum 2 years relevant experience
- Level III – minimum 4 years relevant experience
- Level IV – minimum 6 years relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
- Proficiency in the use of Altium for printed circuit board layout, schematic capture, and library management
- Knowledge of general drafting standards, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (ASME Y14.5M), change control processes, and configuration management principles
- Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and adjust quickly to changing priorities
- Working knowledge of PCB materials and manufacturing techniques
- Familiarity with IPC standards for PCB design and manufacture
- U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (e.g. Green Card holder), or a protected individual as defined by the International Traffic in Arm Regulations (ITAR)

- Mechanical design for products and tools
- Windchill or equivalent PLM systems
- Mentor Graphics PADS, AutoCAD, Inventor, Creo, Solidworks or other mechanical CAD
- Chip and wire substrates and layouts
