Job Summary
Study assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and job travelers to align, fit, and assemble component parts using hand tools, power tools, and soldering equipment. Operate automatic equipment or perform hand soldering for surface mount and mixed-technology boards while visually inspecting printed circuit boards for defects. Report assembly, equipment, material, and quality problems to the Manager and document actions by completing production and quality forms. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with PPE procedures and work rules. Perform automated and manual testing of PCBs and identify components via color codes. Requires experience with through hole and surface mount technology, ability to lift 50 pounds, and knowledge of QUAD Pick & Place machines.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in assembling printed circuit boards and/or surface mount
- Skilled at identifying components via component identification and color codes
- Ability to read and interrupt schematics and assembly documents
- Performing automated and manual testing of PCB's
- Oral and written communication skills for a team environment
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds without assistance
- Detail oriented, organized, analytical
- Hand soldering
- Knowledge of through hole and surface mount technology required
- High School diploma or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with QUAD Pick & Place machines a plus
