Job Summary
Provide personal care support including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene, and toileting while ensuring client safety during transport. Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and other scheduled activities using a personal vehicle, ensuring proper use of seatbelts and assistance entering/exiting. Monitor and report changes in client health and well-being, document care provided according to company and regulatory standards, and maintain a clean, safe, and orderly client environment. Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and feeding as needed. This role includes medication reminders, travel to patient homes across the service area, and completion of required in-service training. Candidates must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to lift and transfer clients up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid ID
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to travel to client homes
- Current and valid state driver's license
- Current and valid vehicle registration
- Current and valid vehicle insurance
- Ability to pass pre-employment screenings: background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record (MVR) check
- Willingness to complete competency and skills assessments
- Ability to work independently in home settings
- Willingness to complete background screening and all onboarding requirements
- A kind heart and a positive attitude, with compassion, patience, and professionalism with vulnerable populations
- Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition clients weighing up to 50 lbs., with or without assistive equipment (gait belt, Hoyer lift)
- Ability to work in a private home environment, including navigating varying layouts, tight spaces, and differing temperatures
- Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle for extended periods, including loading/unloading mobility equipment (wheelchairs, walkers) as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Active Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Clean driving record
