Job Summary
Assist clients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Support clients with mobility needs, including transferring and ambulation assistance. Prepare and serve meals according to dietary requirements and assist with feeding if necessary. Provide medication reminders and monitor clients for any changes in health or behavior. Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment. Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition to supervisors or healthcare professionals. Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' social and mental well-being.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid PCA certification or completion of a state-approved PCA training program.
- Ability to pass background checks and any required health screenings.
- Basic knowledge of personal care techniques and safety protocols.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow care plans accurately.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working as a PCA or in a similar caregiving role.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Familiarity with electronic documentation systems.
- Experience working with elderly or disabled populations.
- Ability to speak multiple languages relevant to the local community.
