PCA III - 32 Hour Evenings E/O Weekend and Holiday

Job Summary
Under the direction of a registered/licensed nurse, the PCA III performs patient care-related duties and clinical functions to promote a safe, compassionate environment. Responsibilities include taking and documenting vital signs and EKGs, assisting with bathing and other sanitary needs, transferring and assisting with ambulation, feeding patients, stocking rooms, setting up and cleaning equipment, collecting specimens, documenting patient information (height, weight, intake/output, glucose), assisting with food tray setup, and communicating effectively with nursing staff. Requires ability to multitask, knowledge of medical terminology, basic typing/computer skills, strong interpersonal/communication skills, and physical ability to lift and transport patients following Safe Patient Handling Guidelines. On-site location at 3 Dove Ave, Salem, MA with an evening shift and weekend/holiday coverage; position is part-time and focuses on supporting RNs and physicians in exams and treatments as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
- LNA - New Hampshire preferred
- BLS Certification preferred
- Healthcare experience 1-2 years required
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology
- Typing skills and computer experience
- Interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to lift and transport patients using Safe Patient Handling Guidelines
