Job Summary
Provide in-home Personal Care Aide services in New Hartford, NY under supervision, including bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility assistance, medication assistance, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, and transportation. Accompany clients to medical appointments, promote mental alertness through activities, and report changes to the supervisor. Training is provided for those not certified; must be 18+, hold a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle, and be able to communicate in English. Maintain client care plans and participate in 12+ hours of in-service education per year.
Required Qualifications
- Active Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Aide (PCA) certificate in NYS
- Completed approved training course for PCA (if not certified)
- 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Ability to speak, read, and write English; ability to communicate in the predominant language of the resident
