Job Summary
Provide support and assistance for members with activities of daily living and personal care, including arrival and departure, eating, ambulation, transferring, and rest room assistance. Maintain a healthy environment by performing light cleaning, laundry, and shopping, while preparing and serving meals and snacks. Observe members for changes in condition or unusual occurrences, escalating concerns as appropriate, and run errands such as taking clients to appointments. Ensure member safety by monitoring activities and keeping a sanitary, clutter-free environment. Communicate positively with members, families, co-workers, and referral agencies while complying with company policies and safety regulations. Requires current Home Health Aid or C.N.A. certification, a valid driver's license for errand positions, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years of age for positions not requiring any driving for clients
- At least 21 yrs of age for any positions requiring driving/running errands for clients
- Valid Driver's license and reliable transportation and proof of vehicle registration and insurance are required
- Successful results of background check, and where applicable, additional state-specific regulatory requirements
- Able to bend, pull, push, squat, turn, transfer, and lift 50 pounds
- Able to stand for an extended period while providing physical assistance to members
Desired Qualifications
- Current Home Health Aid and/or C.N.A certification preferred
- Minimum one-year full-time equivalent experience in a health care setting preferred
- Prior experience working seniors and/or adults with special needs preferred
- Strong communication and engaging interpersonal skills
- Able to multi-task and manage time effectively
- Able to work a flexible schedule
