Job Summary
Provide support and assistance for members with activities of daily living, including arrival and departure, eating, ambulation, transferring, and rest room assistance. Maintain a healthy environment through light cleaning, laundry, shopping, and home safety checks. Prepare meals, serve snacks, and clear tables while observing members for changes in condition or unusual occurrences. Run errands for clients such as shopping for food and personal items, or transporting them to appointments. Communicate positively with members, families, co-workers, and referral agencies while ensuring member safety through monitoring and maintaining a clutter-free space. Work the 8am-2pm Monday to Friday schedule in Walterboro, SC.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years of age for positions not requiring any driving for clients
- At least 21 yrs of age for any positions requiring driving/running errands for clients
- Valid Driver's license and reliable transportation and proof of vehicle registration and insurance are required
- Successful results of background check, and where applicable, additional state-specific regulatory requirements
- Able to bend, pull, push, squat, turn, transfer, and lift 50 pounds
- Able to stand for an extended period while providing physical assistance to members
- Able to work a flexible schedule
Desired Qualifications
- Current Home Health Aid and/or C.N.A certification preferred
- Minimum one-year full-time equivalent experience in a health care setting preferred
- Prior experience working seniors and/or adults with special needs preferred
- Strong communication and engaging interpersonal skills
- Able to multi-task and manage time effectively
