Job Summary
Provide day-to-day direction and supervision for direct support staff, including development, training, and constructive feedback. Prepare staff schedules, maintain accurate documentation for services, behavior, incidents, medication, and mileage, and ensure clients adhere to person-centered and behavior plans. Assist clients with personal care such as bathing and toileting, prepare meals based on dietary requirements, and transport clients to appointments while advocating on their behalf. Foster trust and build relationships with clients and teammates in a safe, healthy environment. Maintain open communication with supervisors to ensure quality support continuity. Valid CPR and First Aid preferred; able to work flexible schedules including overnight.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid Driver's license
- Safe and reliable transportation
- Proof of vehicle registration and insurance
- Able to work a flexible schedule including overnight if accept assignment for a 24/7 client
- Able to bend, pull, push, squat, turn, transfer, and lift 50 pounds
- Able to stand for an extended period while providing physical assistance to members
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience working with seniors and/or adults with special needs
- Valid C.P.R. and First Aid certificate prior to employment
- Strong communication and engaging interpersonal skills
