PCA 5N/6N Operating rooms

PCA position in the West Virginia University Health System (WVUH) 5 North Operating Rooms. Performs nonprofessional direct and indirect care activities under supervision of a Registered Nurse, supporting preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care for surgical/procedural patients and assisting with sterile processing as needed. Responsibilities include obtaining supplies and equipment, aseptic technique, transporting patients, maintaining inventory, cleaning and preparing work areas, processing instruments, documenting patient data and routine tasks, and supporting department operations. Requires a High School diploma or equivalent, completion of departmental clinical support or PCA orientation, and BLS/HeartSaver First Aid certification within 30 days of hire. Prior patient care experience (CNA or MA) is preferred. 40 hours weekly with rotating shifts; non-exempt schedule in Morgantown, WV.
