Job Summary
Administer medication, provide direct care, and oversee daily service for seniors. Safely use resident-assistive equipment and medical devices, including wheelchairs, scales, gait belts, and blood pressure equipment. Maintain a drug- and alcohol-free workplace status while meeting all Older Adult Protective Services Act requirements. This role supports United Zion's 117-year history of serving the community with quality care in a small, loving environment where teamwork is valued.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar role
- One (1) year of supervisory experience
- Current Medical Technician Certification
- CPR Certification
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Knowledge of Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) regulations
- Ability to safely use resident-assistive equipment and medical devices, including wheelchairs, scales, gait belts, mechanical lifts, blood pressure equipment, stethoscopes, thermometers, glucometers, and pulse oximeters
- Must meet all requirements of the Older Adult Protective Services Act (OAPSA)
- Successful completion of required criminal background checks
- Maintain a drug- and alcohol-free workplace status
- Must be physically able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year of supervisory experience preferred
