Job Summary

Pilots with Pilatus PC-12 qualifications will serve as PC-12 Flight Instructors, conducting flight training sessions for foreign Airforce pilots overseas for up to 6 months. The role emphasizes not only instructional proficiency but also customer communications and safety, including ground school, flight maneuvers, system operations, and ensuring airworthiness through pre-flight and post-flight inspections. Instructors educate students on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and regulatory requirements, provide advanced instruction on the PC-12’s systems and performance characteristics (including single-engine operations, turbine engine management, and cargo handling), and demonstrate proficiency with the avionics suite. The position includes conducting CFI and CFII training for selected students designated as Instructor Pilots and Instrument Instructor Pilots for the Pilatus PC-12. Qualifications emphasize FAA CFIs, Part 141/142 eligibility or equivalent military experience, and medical certificates with Instrument Rating.

Required Qualifications

  • FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)
  • FAA Certified Flight Instructor- Instrument (CFII)
  • Qualified under FAA Part 141 or Part 142 and 1000-hours flight time and 100 instructing in aircraft
  • Alternate qualification: former military instructor pilots who qualify under FAA Part 61.73
  • A valid Class 1 or Class 2 medical certificate with Instrument Rating (IR)
  • High performance aircraft (HPA) knowledge, and an IR SE (A) or IR ME (A)
