Job Summary
PBX Associate (Entry Level) supports the PBX helpdesk by answering and routing calls (60% PBX, 40% IT Helpdesk). Must be available for weekends/rotating shifts and overnight shifts. Responsibilities include routing calls to correct departments, conducting emergency communications to Fire/EMS, IT documentation and troubleshooting with guidance, prioritizing CODE phone calls, and training on the PBX system and VoIP platform. Emphasizes patient/customer service, HIPAA compliance, effective communication, and adherence to hospital safety and emergency procedures.
Required Qualifications
- GED or High School diploma
- Some college preferred
- 1 year healthcare PBX experience
- 6 months IT Helpdesk experience
