Job Summary
Conduct product pricing by setting profitable and sustainable rates while managing financial and operational risks. Develop robust pricing models consistent with the company's takaful model, shariah, and profitability requirements. Support product implementation through system testing, UAT, and actuarial materials for the Product Implementation Committee. Liaise with retakaful operators to obtain competitive rates and ensure cost-effective arrangements for new products. Ensure all pricing submissions comply with Bank Negara Malaysia, PCA, and internal SOPs, delivering accurate work under tight deadlines. Apply actuarial knowledge to design innovative products with strict risk management controls.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Mathematics/Statistics/Actuarial Science or other related course
- Good progress in the Actuarial professional examinations (IOA/IOAA/SOA)
- Competent in actuarial software (ideally Prophet)
- Competent in Microsoft Office application (Excel, VBA, Word, Power Point)
- Competent in any other programming language
- Good communication skill
- Good command in English & Bahasa Malaysia
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Able to work under pressure and deliver within tight deadlines
- Driven by high desire to acquire knowledge and to deliver results
Desired Qualifications
- Competent in actuarial software (ideally Prophet)
